Imphal, July 19 2013 : Strongly condemning granting of bail to seven persons who were arrested along with a huge consignment of drugs from Pallel in February this year, the Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) has alleged a high level conspiracy in the dealing.
A statement issued by CADA said it is questionable whether the Investigating Officer (IO) of the case has been directed not to file charge-sheet against the accused on time.
Saying that the police should not have arrested them along with the drugs if they were unable to file a charge-sheet, the CADA statement said it is an act of deceiving the public.
Expressing deep apprehension that Manipuri society would be wiped out in the face of increasing drug smugglers, CADA said the people have every reason to launch strong movement against drug smugglers.
