Imphal, July 20 2013 : District Agriculture Officer, Ukhrul District has organised a one day farmer’s field school cum training programme on rice production technology under Rastriya Krishi Vikas Yojna at Ngaranphung Village, Kasom Block today.
The resource persons of the training programme Th Kunjabihari Singh, EO (Agri) Ukhrul and N Krishnamohon, EO (Agri) Ukhrul (Kasom) delivered lecture on improve methods of rice cultivation and pest and disease of paddy.
The training programme was attended by all the farmers of the Village.
MS Thomas, Chairman/Headman and KS Angam, Secretary of the Village graced the function as chief guest and president respectively.
Meanwhile, District Fishery Officer, Chandel is organising a 5 days fish farmers training programme in “Scientific fish culture” under RKVY at District Level Fish Seed Farm at Kapaam under Chandel District from today till July 24.A press note issued by District Fishery Officer, Chandel said, the training programme was attended by more than 50 fish farmers from different places along with village chiefs.
