Imphal, July 22 2013: The question of holding or not holding State PMT still remains undecided even though the Medical Council of India’s notification to hold common MBBS/BDS entrance test under NEET was quashed by the Supreme Court some days back.
Chief Minister O Ibobi, Health Minister Phung-zathang Tonsing and top officials of Health Directorate deliberated on the matter today too.
Citing certain difficulties in taking a final decision on the matter, the meeting decided to study how other States are tackling the matter and emulate the same if applicable in Manipur.
The Chief Minister instructed the relevant officials to keep a tab on what other States are doing.
