Imphal, July 23 2013: Manipur State Commission for Women and All Manipur Bar Association have expressed extreme sorrow and suffering to the sudden demise of Ph Amitabala Devi, Advocate who died on July 21 .
A press note of MSCW said, it held a condolence meeting at its office premises at Lamphelpat today at 3 pm and observed 2 minutes silence for the peace of the departed soul.
Dr L Ibetombi Devi, Chairperson of the Commission in her condolence message shared the sorrows and suffering of the bereaved family members left behind by Ph Amitabala Devi.
At the same time, the All Manipur Bar Association has observed 2 minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul of Amitabala Devi in a condolence meeting held today at 1 pm at its office here with A Guneshwar Sharma, District & Session Judge, Manipur East in the chair.
Members of AMBA and Bench expressed deep shock and sorrow on the sudden demise of the Advocate.
The meeting resolved to share the grief of the bereaved family, and prayed for the peace of the departed soul in her heavenly abode.
It further resolved to suspend Court work from 1 pm today.
