Imphal, July 28 2013: Although IOC’s Chingmeirong depot has seven days’ stock of petrol and diesel for 12 days, it is unlikely that any retail outlet would distribute fuel tomorrow for the depot remained closed today on account of being a Sunday.
The stock situation improved a little when more than 100 oil tankers reached Imphal with security escorts via Jiribam on July 23.But the stocks have been depleting continuously since then.

Nonetheless, 60 oil tankers and 20 LPG bullets are expected to arrive here by July 30 morning from Jiribam.
Of the oil tankers which left Imphal on July 24, 27 got loaded at Silchar and nine at Guwahati.
Meanwhile, oil tankers which got loaded at Khatkhati but missed the escort convoy of July 23 have started arriving at Jiribam.
Till this morning, 45 oil tankers arrived at Jiribam.
For bringing oil tankers which reach Jiribam till tonight towards Imphal tomorrow, escort parties have been arranged, said a source.
