Imphal, July 20 2013 : Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today visited Pangei Ne-pali Basti in Imphal East district to personally inspect the site for setting up of the proposed Ma-nipur Judicial Academy.


Speaking to mediapersons during the inspection visit, the CM said contrary to actual requirement for 50 acres of land for the Academy availability of at least 25-30 acres would suffice.


He also advised Imphal East district Deputy Commissioner to prepare a detailed report on how much of the present site are khasland and how many are owned by pattadars (land owners) .


The CM also confided that boundary fencing work and development of approach road of the proposed would be undertaken on priority basis from the State fund currently available to the Government.


The CM was also accompanied by Manipur High Court Chief Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre Works Minister Dr Kh ratankumar Singh, Manipur High Court Chief Justice N Kotiswar, Commissioner (Revenue) S Sunderlal Singh, Advocate General Th Ibohal, DC (IE) RK Dinesh and other top Government officials.
