Imphal, July 22 2013: As talk between the Chief Minister and the JAC in connection with the killing of Naeemuddin of Sora held today at the CM’s Office could not reach at any solution, the 48 hours general strike called by the JAC, which began 6pm of Sunday would continue.
According to a statement issued by the JAC today, a meeting between the JAC representatives and the CM was held today around 2pm.Highlighting the case, the JAC representatives laid several demands to the CM.
As the CM expressed the necessary participation of the State DGP and Thoubal SP in the meeting, the talk is slated to resume tomorrow (Tuesday) .
Meanwhile, the JAC also strongly condemned the act of the police in firing tear gas shells at bandh supporters today.
It also shared the pain of those injured bandh supporters.
