Lamka, July 20 2013 : Fans of Manipuri film actors thronged Lamka public ground in thousands today braving the rain and cramping the venue that hosted a soccer match between the State’s film fraternity and the district joint philanthropic organisation leaders to mark the opening of (L) T Liaboi Simte super division league.
Organised by the district sports body CDSA, today’s exclusive match was delayed by a sudden shower that persisted till the first-half.
But ardent fans defy the shower as stars, including the latest sensations � the young and the old, made their way into the muddied ground.
‘I can’t believe it! I just had a photo shot of my life,’ said a young fan, running from the shower as she took the sudden downpour as an opportunity to get near the stars and even had the joy of taking photos with many of them.
The renowned actor, Kaiku scored twice, one in the first half (15 Mins) and another in the second half (60′) to give the visiting ‘Maniwood 11′, a comfortable win against the home team by 2-0 .
