Imphal, July 18 2013: The nine-day long Rathyatra (Kang) festival ended today with devotees in large number turning out to pull the chariot of three deities – Jaganath, Balabhadra and Subadra, from the Shree Shree Govindajee temple gate upto the Palace Compound Gate and back to the starting point.
Among others Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai Devi also joined in celebrating end of the festival.
Sai Baba devotees too joined the celebration along with providing drinking water to the devotees.
As usual the Rathyatra festival was also organised by devotees of ISKCON by pulling the chariot from ISKCON complex to Keishampat and back.
Pulling of chariots was also common sight in many localities of the valley pockets.
