Imphal, July 21 2013: Vice-President of All India State Government Employees Confederation, M Joykumar left Imphal for Guwahati today to meet the State Government employees and teachers of Assam to strengthen the organisation in North East States.
The visit assumes significance in view of the demonstration to be staged in front of Parliament during its session next month.
The confederation is going to demand for uniform service code, withdrawal of new pension scheme, modernisation of civil service, increase of income tax limit to Rs 5 lakh, allocation of more funds to States for implementation of employees’ welfare schemes, increase of retirement age on superannuation, decrease of price of LPG and petroleum products and providing free and compulsory education upto Class XII.
