Imphal, June 19 2013: A gunfight took place between suspected cadres of KNF (N) and troops of 15 AR and 21 Para this morning around 5 at Bongbal Kholen village in Senapati district.
A source said that the encounter took place between suspected KNF (N) cadres and troops of 15 AR, who were on foot patrol in the area this morning.
The encounter that began around 5 am lasted till around 7am.However, no casualty has been reported from both sides.
90 live rounds of AK rifle were recovered from the spot, the source said.
