Imphal, June 10 2013: The All India Tribal Students’ Association, Manipur has sought the intervention of Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam in the alleged murder case of Reingamphy Awungshi of Choithar village, Ukhrul district� who was found dead inside her rented room in South Delhi on May 29�for speedy process of investigation and delivery of justice.
In a representation to the Deputy Chief Minister, general secretary of AITSAM, Vincent Zo, while highlighting the bad attitude of ‘unscrupulous mainland youth’ which poses a threat to the existence of North Easterners in mainland India particularly the National Capital, urged for coming up with a strong mechanism to minimise the suffering of Manipuris residing in Delhi.
The AITSA also urged the Deputy CM to propose construction of a residential building to accommodate maximum numbers of Manipuri students/workers at the National Capital in the coming Assembly session.
