Imphal, June 09 2013: JAC Against the Forced Eviction of Naga River Lane-Kabo Leikai has said that the State Government has failed to acknowledge the decree of the Manipur High Court.
In a press release, the JAC said that the High Court served an order to the State Government to stop any construction works that may effect or change the topography of Naga River lane and revoke all the prohibitory orders claimped within the land in dispute.
However, despite the directive of the Court, neither construction works have been halted nor the police personnel deputed within the area of Naga river land has been removed so far.
Questioning where the law of the land has gone, the JAC urged the right thinking citizens to correct the present State Government.
