Ukhrul, June 14 2013 : The main accused in the Jaipur child trafficking case, Jacob John (42), Proprietor of Grace Children Home was arrested at Jaipur on May 2 last by Nagaland police and he is now in the custody of Ukhrul police.
He was arrested on the charge of sexually abusing six Jalukie teenage girls at his shelter home.
Getting the news of the arrest, an Ukhrul police team led by P Longpinao headed to Jalukie Police Station to bring him to Ukhrul following complaints from the children’s family.
After getting clearance from CJM, Ukhrul for arrest warrant and other relevant documents and permission from District Session Court, Dimapur, the police team brought him back here at Ukhrul Police Station today for thorough investigation in connection with the said complaint.
Jacob John S/o KK John living at A-511 Malvinagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan is a goodwill missionary by profession.
He has been running Grace Home for more than 18 years accomodating more than 50 children from different areas of the country.
He has been remanded for 10 days and after which he will be handover back to Jalukie PS for further trial against him.
