Imphal, June 17 2013: An active cadre of KCP, identified as SS Maj Angom Ibochouba alias Punshiba alias Shelungba s/o Ibomcha Singh of Moirang, Bishnupur district surrendered to the troops of Red Shield Division at Moirang Khunou with a .32 mm Pistol and two magazines on June 16, according to a statement issued by the PIB (DW) .
At the same time, the PIB (DW) release claimed that an active cadre of UNLF, SS Sgt Chingngakham Ainaoba alias Puyalakpa s/o CH Panjaroton surrendered to the troops of Red Shield Division at Thanga with a 9mm Pistol and 01 magazine on Jun 16.According to the PIB (DW) statement, he joined the outfit in Aug 2005 at UNLF Camp Leiyang, Myanmar where he was trained for two and a half months from August to October 2005 along with 57 recruits including six female cadres.
The individual surrendered to the Security Force due disillusionment with the organization, the PIB (DW) statement added.
