Imphal, June 11 2013: With majority of the Government employees not filing their annual property returns for several years, the State Vigilance Commission is unable to check whether the incomes of Government employees are compatible with their assets.
This was written in the State Vigilance Commission’s report for the year 2012 which was tabled in the State Assembly today by Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam.
The report recommended that all Government employees must be directed to file their annual property returns regularly without fail.
It also identified DRDA, Health Services, Power, Revenue, Social Welfare, Works, School Education, Industries, PHED, Rural Development and Veterinary Department as sensitive departments.
