Lamka, July 17 2013: Claiming that UTLA is very much aware of what had happened in and around Jiribam area on July 16, the outfit negated report that Seineo Guite was its general secretary while claiming him as just a mischievous agent for some parties.
The outfit said he was caught red handed for demanding Rs 10 lakhs and planting grenade along with a demand letter in the name of KRA-U at Jiribam Oil Pump, but didn’t specify who had caught him.
Alleging that the State Government has not provided the needs of UTLA cadres who had already come under SoO on October 27, 2011 and February 27, 2012 and the 22 AR often conducted mischievous acts against UTLA, a statement said that the Government instead conducted home coming for the SK Thadou group at Kadamtala.
The KNO/UTLA also accused the Indian security forces of applying divide and rule policy and commended the Jiribam police and Commandos for what it dubbed was a courageous act.
