IMPHAL, Jul 17: As there is still no clarity on which route to take consequent to road blockade caused by the massive road sink near Kohima, there is no movement of fuel and LPG transporters from here.
According to a source in the IOC, Imphal Divisional office no arrangement is being made to ship in transport fuel and LPG consequent to the ongoing repairing work at the sunken zone near the nagaland State capital.
Regarding stock position at the IOC’s depot in Chingmeirong it is said that petrol would last for about 10 days and diesel for 15 days.
The situation is more grim at the LPG bottling plant in Sekmai where the stock is said to last for three days.
The source also conceded that absence of fuel and LPG shipment activities might result in the general public having difficulties in procuring transport fuel and cooking gas if the situation do not improve in the coming days.
