Imphal, July 07 2013: One 11 year girl was allegedly raped by a 50 year old man at Phaknung Mayai Leikai under Lamlai police station in Imphal East district.
Kangujam Loken (50) alleged raped the minor girl at his home at about 1 pm of July 5.Loken and the victim belong to the same clan and Loken happens to be an uncle of the victim by relation.
Loken has been absconding after committing the crime, informed a source.
In connection with the incident, a report was filed at Lamlai police station today.
Subsequently, police have taken statement of the victim apart from registering a case.
The victim would undergo medical examination tomorrow, added the source.
