Imphal, July 06 2013 : Dr Karam Romio has become the first Doctor of Medicine in Gastroenterology Hepatology in RIMS.
The Assistant Professor in is the son of Karam Dorendro Chandani of Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai.

He has recently completed the three-year DM course from PGI, Chandigarh.
RIMS already has doctors who give treatment of Gastroenterology Hepatology through surgery.
However, Romio is the first super specialist doctor who can treat patients with medicine.
