Ukhrul, July 16 2013: The Tangkhul Frontal Organisation has decided to lift the indefinite public curfew in Ukhrul from midnight of Tuesday.
The frontal organization after a minute discussion relating to the curfew has decided to relax the curfew in the larger interest of the public.
Today, Mini Secretariat wore a deserted look as supporters of the curfew strictly checked the movement of the public.
However, there is no report of any untoward incident.
The spokesperson of TFO speaking to media persons, said the curfew has been relaxed as per the decision of the organisation and not due to pressure from government or NGOs.
He warned of launching other course of agitation until the demand for the transfer of Ukhrul DC is fulfilled.
TFO further acknowledged the support of the public during the curfew while also urging them to join in their future endeavour.
